William Franklin “Bill” Youngs, 76, of Belton, Missouri, passed away August 4, 2024, at his home. He was born April 12, 1948, in Chillicothe, Missouri, the son of Benjamin Hugh Youngs and Hattie Mae Transue Neff. Bill has resided in Belton for the past thirty-five years, formerly of Mooresville. He graduated from Hale High School, Hale, Missouri, with the class of 1966 and received his carpentry degree from North Central Missouri College (formerly Trenton Junior College) in Trenton, Missouri. Bill served in the United States Air Force, as a sergeant, and was honorably discharged on May 23, 1972. He worked for the United States Postal Service in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, as a Business Mail Entry Clerk (BMEU) from 1983 until his retirement in 2013. Bill enjoyed collecting antiques and working on classic cars. He is survived by his three children, Tammie Cantu and husband Sebastian of Springfield, MO, Tracy Youngs and wife Susan of Peculiar, MO, and Sarah Wilson and husband Charlie of Bolivar, MO; brother, Robert Youngs and wife Nancy of Warsaw, MO; four sisters, Linda Williams of Chillicothe, MO, Mary Ogden and husband Richard of Liberty, MO, Betty Hottinger and husband John of San Tan Valley, AZ, and Bonnie Best of San Tan Valley, AZ; ten grandchildren, Caitlyn Saikovski and husband James, Bailey Cantu, William Cantu, Lane Youngs, Alexa Youngs, Lauryn Youngs, Vivian Wilson, Hattie Wilson, Tripp Wilson, and Theodore Wilson; and expecting one great-grandchild. Bill is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Judy Woody. Graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 9, 2024, at Bean Memorial Cemetery, Little River, Kansas, with military honors by the United States Air Force Honor Guard. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, Kansas.
