Victor Lenny Werner

Victor Lenny Werner, 37 of Lyons, Kansas, passed away March 8, 2021 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born August 25, 1983 in Lyons, the son of Curtis Shawn Werner Sr. and Janie Martinez Werner. Victor was a near lifelong Lyons resident. He graduated from Lyons High School with the class of 2002 and attended Hutchinson Community College on a track scholarship. Victor worked at ADM Grain in Lyons and later MKC in Sterling. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Lyons. Victor enjoyed basketball, football, and Nascar, and loved running. He is survived by his mother, Janie Werner of Lyons; maternal grandparents, Raul and Francisca Martinez of Chase; daughter, Belladonna L. Werner of Lyons; two brothers, C.J. Werner and wife Marcella Arce Werner and Lucas Werner both of Lyons; and nieces and nephews, Mia Arce, Isabella Arce, Jada Werner, and Xavier Werner. Victor is preceded in death by his father, Curtis Shawn Werner Sr.; and paternal grandparents, Wayne and Julia Werner. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 13, 2021 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Lyons with Father Patrick Kotrba officiating. Burial will follow at Raymond Hilltop Cemetery, Raymond, Kansas. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M., Friday, March 12, 2021 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Lyons with family present. A Parish Rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M. at the church. Memorials may be given to Fresenius Kidney Care, Great Bend in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
