Travis Lee Martin

Travis Lee “Travy Bear” Martin, 35, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away December 12, 2024, at his home. He was born October 22, 1989, in Lyons, the son of Tim and Marie (Padgett) Martin. Travis has resided in Lyons for the past six years, formerly of Alden, Kansas, Woodland Park, Colorado, and Port St. Lucie, Florida. Travis graduated from Woodland Park High School, Woodland Park, Colorado. Travis was awarded Who’s Who in America for High Academics. He worked at various grocery stores and restaurants. Travis was a member of the First Baptist Church, Lyons. He was an avid gamer, and always played video games with his boys and family. Travis loved listening to music, especially heavy metal. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, swimming and most of all spending time with his family. One of his favorite things to do was taking his boys to the park. On July 20, 2019, Travis was united in marriage to Christina D. Stapleton in Hutchinson, Kansas. Travis is survived by his wife, Christina Martin of Lyons, KS; sons, Warren Lee Martin of Alden, KS, Titus Lee Martin of Lyons, KS, and one on the way; parents; Tim and Marie Martin of Lyons, KS; brother, Trever Martin of Aurora, CO; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Travis is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Louis Allen and Connie Martin; maternal grandparents, Karen and John Boyle; paternal great-grandparents, Merle and Mary Smith; and his beloved dog, Willie. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 20, 2024, at First Baptist Church, Lyons, with Pastor Joel Grizzle officiating. Burial will be at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be given to Warren and Titus Martin’s Memorial Fund in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
