Timothy Wayne "Tim" Johnson

Timothy Wayne “Tim” Johnson, 48, of Salina, Kansas, passed away July 6, 2021 at his home, after a prolonged illness. He was born January 22, 1973, in Ft. Carson, Colorado, the son of Walter E. Johnson and Carol A. Henry. Tim graduated from Lyons High School, Lyons, Kansas, with the class of 1992; and later received his ASE Certification from Hutchinson Community College. He has resided in Salina since 2008, formerly of Hoisington and Lyons. Tim worked as a painter for Cessna, Spirit, and Boeing in Wichita, Kansas, and at Hodges Body Shop in Lyons. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and most of all spending time with his family. On December 23, 2006, Tim was united in marriage with Beckie Dreiling in Hoisington. She survives of the home along with their four children, Zoie, Zylie, Zurie, and Zade; and their beloved dog, Ziggy. Tim is also survived by his mother, Carol Stewart (Mike) of Lyons; father, Walter Johnson (Chasity) of AL; and a mother to him, Denise Froehlich of Michigan; six siblings, Wally Johnson (Stephanie) of College Station, TX, Cody Luck (Jennifer) of Lyons, Neil Johnson (Jessie) of Michigan, Mandy Paterson (Keith) of Michigan, Stephanie Minix (Steve) of Lyons, and Michelle Richmond (Mark) of Rolla, MO; mother-in-law, Sharon Dreiling of Hoisington; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Tim is going to be reunited in heaven with his father, Dennis Luck; favorite uncle, Fred Henry; and best friends, Vern and Barb Stutz. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 12, 2021 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons with Pastor Joel Grizzle officiating. Burial will follow at Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M., Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons with family present. Memorials may be made out to Rebecca Johnson (for their children’s education fund) in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
