Thu Nguyet Hendricks

Thu Nguyet Hendricks, 83, of Alden, Kansas, passed away June 19, 2020 at her home. She was born January 20, 1937 in North Vietnam. Thu has resided in Alden since 1972, formerly of Vietnam. She was a loving wife and mother. Thu loved cooking, quilting, crocheting, and listening to Vietnamese music, she also enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. On July 13, 1967, Thu was united in marriage with Boyd Hendricks in Alden, Kansas. He survives of the home. Thu is also survived by her son James “Jimmy” Hendricks of Houston, TX; two daughters, Thuy “Twee” Hendricks of San Francisco, CA, and Janny Hendricks of Hutchinson, KS; two brothers, one sister; and four grandchildren, Paxton Hendricks and Robert Hendricks both of Cypress, TX, Joshua Ortiz of Ft. Collins, CO, and Dana Vu of Bessemer, AL. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Lyons with Father Aaron Spexarth officiating. A Parish Rosary will be said at 9:30 A.M. Burial will be at Alden Valley Cemetery, Alden, Kansas. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M., Monday, June 22, 2020 at Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling, with family present from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Memorials may be given to St. Paul Catholic Church, Lyons in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling. Family request you wear casual and comfortable clothing to the service.
