Susan Louise (Williams) Wood

Susan Louise Wood, 74, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away June 30, 2025, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born April 22, 1951, in Cicero, New York, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (King) Williams. Susan resided in Tampa, Florida from 1997 until moving to Lyons in 2021. She was a housekeeper for Day’s Inn Hotel in Tampa, Florida, and worked at the H&S Laundry Mat and Dry Cleaners in Lyons. On December 23, 2001, Susan was united in marriage to Kenneth Wood in Tampa, Florida. Susan is survived by her husband, Kenneth Wood of Lyons, KS; two sons, Christopher Nelson of Lyons, KS, and Kenny Wood Jr. of Vilonia, AR; three daughters, Lisa Wohlgamuth of Sterling, KS, Kimberly Wood Lassiter and husband Dan of Vilonia, AR, and Sharon of VA; five sisters, Grace, Diane, Kathy, Roberta, and Brenda; sixteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sabrina Cole-Houchin; son-in-law, Ken Wohlgamuth; four sisters, Rosie, Ethel, Barbara, and Liz; and three brothers, Robert, Ralph, and Thomas. Funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Foundation in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
