Sherry Lynn (Williams) Burrola

Sherry Lynn Burrola, 71, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away October 5, 2025, at Saint Luke’s Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri. She was born April 15, 1954, in Lyons, Kansas, the daughter of Winford and Katherine (Brown) Williams. Sherry has resided in Kansas City for the past eight years, formerly of Lyons. She attended Barton County Community College and received her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree (LPN) from McPherson College. Sherry was an LPN for many years in Rice County. She enjoyed listening to music, shopping, dancing, cooking, cleaning and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren. She married Filomeno Burrola. They later divorced. Sherry is survived by her three daughters, Tresa Burrola of Kansas City, MO, Mary Jerauld and significant other Jimmie Conway of Springfield, MO, and Jenny Lucero of Topeka, KS; four bonus children, Dago, Carlos, Cesar, and Maribel all of Lyons, KS; three brothers, Roger Williams and wife Tammy of Hutchinson, KS, Harold Williams of Lyons, KS, and Doug Williams and wife Carmen of Lyons, KS; three sisters, Kathy Landeros and husband Isidro of Lyons, KS, Melinda Thompson and husband Darrin of Dothan, AL, and Brenda Tommer of Wichita, KS; six grandchildren, Chelsea, Bobby, Courtney, Izack and wife Jasmin, A.J., and Jayden; and eleven great-grandchildren, Braelynn, Angelomar, Rhemi, Charlee, Mariana, Arian, Lorenzo, Allie, Lucas, Natalie, and Brett. Sherry is preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Ethan Burrola. Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with Melinda Moore officiating. Burial will follow at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with family present. Family encourages everyone to wear the color blue and casual dress. Memorials may be made out to Birzer Funeral Home or Saint Luke’s Hospice House in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
