Our sincerest condolences from the members of UT-K's United Campus Veterans and from those of us in his class of the College of Engineering at University of Tennessee. Scott was a great friend, an innovative engineer, and loyal American and Patriot.

To Scott's family. With a sad heart and fond childhood memories, I am sending my deepest sympathy to your family. He was a very special person, and always had time for a hug when we both happened to be visiting our mothers at the same time. It is hard losing a sibling, and you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I knew Scott was a good man as soon as I met him. I lured him into a lighting project at the VA. He supported me and gave good logical advice to support the project, which I needed.
We became friends and I quickly learned the depth of Scott’s character. He was polite, respectful, honest and a very humble man. “Salt of the earth” is what we used to call men like him. He had no patience for characters who wanted to play games with the system and had no problem stating so. I won’t forget him.
Amy and family I am so sorry for your loss. May you find strength to deal with the loss of a bright star in your family.
