Santiago Landavazo Espinoza, 55, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away September 25, 2020 at his home. He was born November 25, 1964 in Mazatan, Sonora, Mexico, the son of Arturo Landavazo and Maria Espinoza. Santiago has resided in Lyons since 2003, formerly of Mazatan, Sonora, Mexico. He was an operator at Paleton of Lyons. Santiago was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Lyons. He will be remembered by his catchphrase “valgame la gente”, his love for his guitar and music and kindness to everyone. On February 18, 2000, Santiago was united in marriage with Madel Sanchez in Lyons. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his father, Arturo Landavazo; three sons, Guillermo Lopez De Lara of Dodge City, KS, Rogelio Lopez De Lara of Lyons, and German Landavazo of Mexico; two daughters, Veronica Lopez De Lara of Lyons, and Idaly Lopez De Lara of Salina, KS; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Santiago was preceded in death by his mother; and sister, Dolores Landavazo. A private family mass will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Patrick Kotrba officiating. Burial will follow at Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. Paul Catholic Church in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
