Russell Carter Ehrlich (Russ) was born April 30, 1950 in Colorado Springs Co. Russ died August 15, 2021 in Salina, KS. Russell’s parents were Claude King Ganner and Barbara Louise (Waggoner) Ganner. Russell was later adopted by Barbara’s second husband, Clinton Ehrlich. He was a 1968 graduate of Lyons High School. Russell was a member of the Osage Nation. He served his country in Vietnam, before working in various machinist and oil field jobs until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Karen; his brothers, David (Carol) Ehrlich of Brandon, FL, and Mark Ehrlich of Raymond, KS; his son, Bobbie (Jerri) Ehrlich of Manter, KS; and daughter, Christina (Britt) Hinkle of Williston, ND; his step-children, Kathy McLean of Little River, KS, and Wendy (Jerry) Parrish of Derby, KS; 7 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his fathers; his mother, and a sister, Anne. A graveside service will be at Lyons Municipal Cemetery on August 21, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. with military honors by the United States Marine Corp Honor Guard. Service will be directed by the Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons. Because cremation has taken place, there will not be a public visitation before the graveside service. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
