Ronald Craig "Ron" Holland

Ronald Craig “Ron” Holland, 65, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away May 21, 2025, at Hospital District #1 of Rice County, Lyons. He was born September 18, 1959, in Glendale, California, the son of Ronald and Joanne (Carter) Holland. Ron has resided in Lyons for the past several years, formerly of California. He graduated from Cresenta Valley High School, Cresenta, California, with the class of 1977. Ron received his associate degree in science from American River College, and his bachelor’s degree in health care management from Sacramento State University. He worked as a chef, elevator control management, and as a stay-at-home dad. Ron attended Kings Cross Church, Lyons, He enjoyed watching sports on tv, and collecting sunglasses, watches, shoes, and sports memorabilia. On March 18, 2023, Ron was united in marriage to Judy Mae Belden in Lyons. Ron is survived by his wife, Judy Holland of Lyons, KS; father, Ronald Holland; three sons, Ronald Joseph Holland, Jacob Henry Holland, and Justin Robert Holland; brother, Robert Holland; and three sisters, Robin Weaver, Christina Brown, and Teri Perkins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Holland. A come and go celebration of life will be held at Kings Cross Church, Lyons, from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M., Saturday, May 31, 2025, with refreshments served. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
