Robert Lee “Bob” Stagner, 85, of Little River, Kansas, passed away April 29, 2024, at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River. He was born March 23, 1939, in Eureka, Kansas, the son of John Burl and Lois (Beck) Stagner. Bob and his siblings were raised around Conway Springs, Kansas. He worked for flour mills in Kingman and Inman, Kansas, before moving to Little River in 1975. Bob also worked for Mid-America Pipeline and retired from Piping Technology. He enjoyed camping and fishing in his early years and also loved animals. On November 13, 1958, he married Carolyn Staten, they later divorced. Bob is survived by his three children, Bill Stagner and wife Ginny of Caney, KS, Kathy Hatch and husband Wayne of Andover, KS, and Jerry Stagner and wife Cheryl of Little River, KS; daughter-in-law, Donna Stagner of Little River, KS; sister, Betty Isabelle of Pasco, WA; six grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jim Stagner; brother, Bud Stagner; grandson, A.J. Stagner; and granddaughter, Jill LeClair. Graveside service will be held at 1:30 P.M., Friday, May 3, 2024, at Bean Memorial Cemetery, Little River, with Pastor Ted Weis officiating. Memorials may be given to Friends of Animals Rice County in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
