Richard Lewis Tilton

Richard Lewis “Rick” Tilton, 66, of Sterling, Kansas, passed away February 25, 2022, at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kansas. He was born April 18, 1955, in Sterling, the son of Harold A. and Dorothy F. Jones Tilton. Rick attended elementary and Jr. High School in Salina, Kansas, before moving to Sterling with his family in 1970. He graduated from Sterling High School, Sterling, with the class of 1973. Rick was a welder and musician. He is survived by his brother, Lane Tilton of Sterling; sister, Christa Tilton Bishop and husband Kelly of Leoti, KS; and five nieces and nephews, and nine great-nieces and nephews. Rick is preceded in death by his parents. A graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 18, 2022, at Sterling Community Cemetery, with Pastor Melissa Krabbe officiating. Memorials may be given to Sterling American Legion Post #128 in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
