Rich was best man at my wedding, and worked with me for years at Jim's Machine Shop and later at Takako in Hutch! Most would say we were unlikely friends but Rich was a great guy and a kind man to all unless they didn't deserve it. He was genius smart and if he didn't know how to do it, he would find a way! He surprised folks when they found out he enjoyed classical music. We shared many long discussions on faith and politics and shared our love for astronomy. I have missed working with him and only found out about him today 12-22, It is my prayer and has been for a long time that I will see my friend again, until then I'm placing you buddy in the hands of my Lord for safe keeping. So long until we meet again. Richard Lattimer

I only got to meet Richard once. That was when Cortney asked me to go to Lyons with her to help clean up their new place. Had a few laughs that day. Never seen Cortney so happy with any other. R.i.p. Richard

Where do I start.... I haven't known you a long time but what I do know is I thought of you like a son. I appreciate everything you've done for me, Zandor and Aaron. You kept me in your thoughts while Aaron was gone. You were so good to "little man" and he loves you so much. You came on Mother's day and gave me a big tight hug from Aaron. You stopped when you went through Sterling so you could see Zandor, just to let him know you loved him. You always take care of others first.....you are going to be missed so much. Your funny humor and jokes...and your cheesy smile. Love you Rich...your other "ma"

Richard, I will always remember the fun times our family has had with you. I will never forget Dad launching you in a tube at Grande Lake! I’ve never laughed so hard in my life. You brought so much joy we need more Richards in the world. You will be dearly missed.💔

My heart is broken at the loss of Richard. When he was a little he reminded me so much of Tom Sawyer playing in the creek, had worms in his jeans pockets! How I will miss that sweet smile of his.
