Richard Louis Lattimer, 44, of Lyons, passed away on December 16, 2020 at his home. He was born March 4, 1976 to John and Melinda Walters in Long Beach, California as Richard John Walters the 3rd. In 1979, he was adopted by his stepfather Mark Lattimer as Richard Louis Lattimer. Richard was a Lyons resident for most of his life. He graduated from Lyons High School in 1994. Richard was a machinist at Stealth in Burnet, Texas. He was recently employed at B&B Mechanical in Sterling, KS. Richard was a handyman. He could fix anything. He liked to go fishing and camping. He enjoyed target practice. He also enjoyed time with his friends, family and Arnold his dog. He was a warm hearted person that would do anything for friends, family or anyone in need. He is survived by Cortney Smith and her daughter Hannah Kites of Lyons, KS; mother, Melinda Browning and stepfather Ray Browning of Hutchinson, KS. He has three siblings, Yvonne Danyluk and her husband Kelly of Hutchinson, KS, Jason Lattimer and wife Nicole of Chase, KS, and Jeremy Lattimer and wife Jennifer of Kansas City, MO. He has numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Lyons Municipal Cemetery with Pastor Joel Grizzle officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M., Monday, December 21, 2020 at Birzer Funeral Home in Lyons with family present from 4:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.
