Rev. Grant Davis Obituary

The Rev. Grant E. Davis passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Alice Davis, his first wife, Geneva (Culbertson) Davis, and his brother, Vernon Davis. He is survived by his wife Meredith (Peterson) Davis, three children, Eric Davis and spouse Mao Song Young of Tujunga, CA, Andrew Davis and spouse Kay Davis of Wichita, and Kathy Roubideaux and her partner Bill Beier of Hutchinson, three grandsons, Justin Perkins, Gable and Tanner Roubideaux, and great-granddaughter, Marlee Vickers. Grant graduated from Wichita North High School in 1951 and Friends University in 1955. From 1956 – 1958 he served as an Assistant Army Chaplin in Korea. After being honorably discharged, Grant attended Central Seminary in Kansas City, KS, and served churches in Oxford, Wichita, and Oberlin, before finishing his career at the First United Methodist Church in Little River Kansas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Lyons, KS on Tuesday, December 6th at 2:00 PM. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with the Little River Senior Center and the Little River American Legion. Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons is in charge of arrangements.
