Raymond Joe Frederick

Frederick, Raymond Joe, aged 96, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020. Ray was preceded in death by his dear wife of 71 years Betty Jean Frederick and his parents Homer and Clara Frederick. He is survived by his children, Carol Steele, Diane Lobbestael and Forrest and Glenda Frederick, and eight grandchildren, Noel Rasor and Rob Dewhirst, Allan Steele, Chris and Deb Steele, Ruth and Shaun Shira, Anna and Jason Kraai, Chris and Robi Frederick, Emily and Dennis Piramo, Jeremy and Katherine Frederick; as well as seven great grandchildren; sister-in-law Joyce Weiler-Forster, along with Tom & Shirley Frederick as well as treasured nieces and nephews. He was warm and attentive to everyone he met. If you count all the people who called him Grandpa Ray, his family might include hundreds of folks. He was much loved and will be missed by many. Ray was a proud WWII Veteran, honored to have served in the Navy. A memorial service celebrating his life is planned at 10:00am on Saturday, September 25 at Alden Baptist Church with internment in Alden Valley Cemetery, Alden, Kansas immediately following. Please join the family for a light lunch at the church after the committal service.
