Randy Lynn Galliart

Randy Lynn Galliart, 70, of Lyons, Kansas, was welcomed into Heaven October 3, 2024, at his home. He was born November 2, 1953, in Lyons, the son of Leonard L. and Frances Arlene (Freeman) Galliart. Randy was a lifelong Rice County resident. He graduated from Lyons High School with the class of 1971. Randy held many different positions over the years including retail and detention officer. He also ran his own business of Randy's Kustom Kleen for many years. In 1989 Randy married Melinda Ray. They later divorced but remained the best of friends. Randy worked hard all his life but always made time for family. He loved supporting his children and grandchildren in their school activities. Randy was a friend to many and enjoyed spending time with them; especially watching the Kansas City Chiefs and KU sports. He is survived by his five children, Victor Galliart of Hutchinson, KS, Rebecca Erfling and husband Jason of Lee’s Summit, MO, Cori Galliart of Lyons, KS, Adam Galliart and wife Amanda of Newton, KS, and Kirstie Galliart of Wichita, KS; three brothers, David Galliart and wife Carol of Winfield, KS, Michael Galliart and wife Paula of Kansas City, KS, and Shawn Galliart and wife Sheri of Hutchinson, KS; four sisters, Michele McKoy and husband Larry of Pittsburg, MO, Renee Sutton and husband Randy of Lyons, KS, Denise Thiessen and husband Loren of McPherson, KS, and Charisse Shepherd and husband Doug of Lyons, KS; eighteen grandchildren, Daulton and significant other Lexy, Taylor, Natalie, Lexi, Clay, Cherish, Levi, Victoria, Xailey, Spencer, Willa, Mazi, David, Nevaeh, Austyn, Brenley, Harper, and Ember; and four great-grandchildren, Silas, Anneliese, Kohen, and Breckan. Randy is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the First United Methodist Church, Lyons, with Pastor Christine Deeds and Melinda Moore officiating. Burial will follow at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with family present from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M.
