Obituary

Patricia Ann Augmon, 72, of Randolph, Massachusetts, passed away July 3, 2023, at the South Shore Hospital, Weymouth, Massachusetts. She was born December 23, 1950, in Renton, Washington, the daughter of Ray Arthur and Ida Rachel (Shoemaker) Turner. Patricia graduated from Lyons High School, Lyons, Kansas, with the class of 1969. Thanks to Patricia’s father’s job she and her siblings experienced many places as “home” growing up. They lived in New Orleans, Cape Canaveral, Washington, and finally, Kansas. Kansas is where Patricia’s life really began by becoming a beloved mother, and then grandmother soon thereafter. Patricia was naturally warm and outgoing, and effortlessly carried an optimistic attitude everywhere she went. After moving to Boston, Massachusetts in 1990, Patricia worked many years for Boston Financial Data Services, as an administrative assistant. She opened her home in Boston to her nieces and nephews, and wasn’t just their aunt, but also a best friend. Patricia loved to teach her granddaughters life skills, like cooking, crocheting, and the love for art, music, and video games. On February 16, 1981, Patricia was united in marriage with Claude Augmon, Jr. in Hutchinson, Kansas. She is survived by her husband, Claude of Randolph, MA; two sons, Tony Augmon (Catarina) of Randolph, MA. and Quentin Turner (Tammie) Manitou Springs, CO; three sisters and one brother, Pam Turner (Loretta Starns) of Colorado, William Turner (Marilyn) of Poteau, OK, Teresa Daines (Don) of Sterling, KS, Pennierae Mason of Lamar, Colorado; four granddaughters, Sage “Sagey Pooh” Pina of Scottsdale, AZ, Shatasha, Catiana, and Isabela Augmon (Scraps & Coco) all of Randolph, MA; one grandson, Wesley of Swampscott, MA. Beloved "Aunt Pat" and "Nana" to Jessie, Amber, Keya, along with several other nieces and nephews; in laws, Delores, Claudine, Donna, Claude, and John. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Ray Austin Turner. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 10, 2023, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with Pastor Larry Schumacher officiating. Burial will follow at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M., Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons with family present.
