Pamela Kay Melby Obituary

Pamela Kay “Pam” Melby, 74, of Sterling, Kansas, passed away March 28, 2021 at her home. She was born July 31, 1946 in Ft. Collins, Colorado, the daughter of Lloyd and Florence Long Pinkley. Pam has resided in Sterling for the past twelve years, formerly of Hutchinson, Kansas. She graduated from Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson, with the class of 1964. Pam was an assistant manager at Quik Trip in Hutchinson. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Hutchinson. Pam enjoyed fishing, crocheting, watching TV and most of all spending time with her family. On May 6, 1991, Pam was united in marriage with Barney Mathew Melby in Hutchinson. He survives of the home. She is also survived by her son, Chuck Angevine of Drake, CO; daughter, Tamera Summers and husband Mike of Hutchinson; sister, Judy Smalling of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Todd Angevine, Falynne Ohle, Bridgette Morphy, Nickolas Morphy, and Thomas Angevine; and four great-grandchildren, Uriah Gilbert, Abel Gilbert, Sophia Morphy, and Zelion Morphy. Pam was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Ronda Angevine; and three sisters, Karen Mitchell, Jane Melby, and Betty Carder. Memorials may be given to the Church of the Brethern, Hutchinson in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
