Nelva G. Thompson, 85, of Geneseo, Kansas, passed away on December 17, 2020 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born December 11, 1935 in Westfall, Kansas, the daughter of William Louis and Faye Dimmick Trapp. Nelva was a longtime Geneseo resident. She graduated from Ellsworth High School, Ellsworth, Kansas with the class of 1953. Nelva was a farm wife and mother. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Little River, where she served on the Memorial Committee; and a member of the United Methodist Women. On August 23, 1953, Nelva was united in marriage with Harold David Thompson at the Presbyterian Church in Ellsworth. He survives of the home. She is also survived by her son, Michael Thompson and wife Theresa of Scott City, KS; two daughters, Kathy Torres and husband Christopher of McPherson, KS, and Linda Stephenson and husband Dan of Little River, KS; ten grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. A Private Family service will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 21, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church, Little River with Pastor Jeff Goetzinger officiating.
