Nadine Carol Crandall, 90, of Little River, Kansas, passed away June 6, 2023, at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River. She was born April 28, 1933, in Little River, the daughter of Carl Wilhelm and Myrtle Violet Leona Briggs Johnson. Nadine was a lifelong Little River resident. She graduated from Little River High School with the class of 1951. Nadine was a housewife. She was a member of the Andover Lutheran Church, Windom, Women of the ELCA, Mother’s Club and the Domestic Art’s both of Little River. Nadine enjoyed gardening, watching the birds, going out to eat, and most of all attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities. On June 17, 1952, Nadine was united in marriage with Norman Crandall at the Andover Lutheran Church, Windom. He survives of the home. She is also survived by her two children, Chris Regehr and husband Delmer of Inman, KS, and Curtis Crandall and wife Janet of Little River, KS; four grandchildren, Jeff Regehr and wife Kathy, Tina Sawatzky and husband Dwayne, Amy Herzog and husband Derrick, and Jessica Ploutz and husband Derrick; eight great-grandchildren, Hannah, Ty, and CJ Herzog, Nolan and Kevin Ploutz, Jordan (Shane) Sawatzky, Spencer (Jake) Goalden, Katrina (Andy) Hogg; and five great-great-grandchildren, Korbin, Ansleigh, and Hayden Hogg, Delaynie and Porter Goalden. Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Virgil, Loren, and Rodney Johnson, and great-grandson, Drake Ploutz. Funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M., Monday, June 12, 2023, at the Andover Lutheran Church, with Pastor Anna Borders officiating. Burial will follow at the Bean Memorial Cemetery, Little River. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M., Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with family present. Memorials may be given to Sandstone Heights Nursing Home or Hospice of Reno County in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
