Michael Raleigh Obituary

Michael Joe Raleigh, 81, of Lyons, passed away September 21, 2020 at his home. He was born August 30, 1939 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Isaac “Mike” and Mamie White Raleigh. Michael graduated from Hominy High School, Hominy, Oklahoma with the class of 1957; and later received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Oklahoma State University. Michael has resided in Lyons for the past three years, formerly of Port Ludlow, Washington, San Francisco, California, and The Sea Ranch, California. He owned and operated Raleigh and Company in San Francisco and The Sea Ranch, California. Michael was a pilot and owned his own private aircraft. He enjoyed reading in his spare time. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Raleigh of Kingman, AZ; and two grandsons, Wyatt and Ethan Schmidt. Michael is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, William “Bill” Raleigh. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
