Michael David Craven Sr.

Michael David Craven Sr., 52, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away March 12, 2021 at his home. He was born December 5, 1968 in Russell, Kansas, the son of Jesse and Linda Young Perry. Michael attended Lyons Schools and graduated from Slidell High School, Slidell, Louisiana with the class of 1986. He resided in Lyons. Michael was a chef at Sterling College for the past year and a half, and prior to that, worked in the Feed Mill at the Sterling Co-op, Sterling, Kansas, and also the Parsons Co-op, Parsons, Kansas. He served in the United States Airforce. Michael was a member of the Sterling American Legion Post #128. Michael enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, and most of all spending time with his family. He is survived by his fiancé, Anita Eades Miles of Lyons; son, Michael Craven Jr. and wife Yvonne Craven of Chardon, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Nathan, Aubrie, Logan, Emmett, and Oliver. Funeral service will be at 2:30 P.M., Friday, March 19, 2021 at the West Café at Sterling College with Pastor Phil Green officiating. Memorials may be given to the Donor’s Choice in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
