Mary Lynn Jochems

Mary Lynn Jochems, 66, of Lyons, passed away October 7, 2020 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. She was born February 28, 1954 in Dodge City, Kansas, the daughter of Carl “Cowboy” and Agnes C. (Kramer) Jochems. Mary graduated from Lyons High School, with the class of 1972. She has resided in Lyons for the past five and half years, formerly of Pratt and Wichita, Kansas. Mary did financial work for several businesses, and worked for Bolen Office Supply in Lyons. She enjoyed arts and crafts, and loved sculpturing. Mary is survived by her siblings, Jerry Jochems and wife Martha of Concordia, KS, Karen Bruggeman of Hays, KS, and Patricia Cupps and husband Larry of Haven, KS; brother-in-law, Stan Werner of La Junta, CO; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends; her beloved pets, Otis and Alfie; and a special mothering relationship with Kim and Nathan. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Steve and Terry Jochems; sister, Kay Werner; brother-in-law, Mel Bruggeman; and sister-in-law, Carol Jochems.  A graveside service will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the  Lyons Municipal Cemetery with Father Michael Brungardt officiating.  Memorials may be given to J.D.R.F. Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Megan’s Wings in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
