Marshall Joel Meyer

Marshall Joel Meyer, 49, of Lyons, passed away December 15, 2018. He was born April 29, 1969 in Goessel, KS, the son of Melvin and Mary Roever Meyer. He attended Lyons High School. Marshall has resided in Lyons for the past 25 years, formerly of Hutchinson, KS. He was a farmer, carpenter, electrician, painter and mechanic. Marshall was a member of his Own Fishing Club. On April 8, 1988, Marshall was united in marriage with Lisa Goeser in Hutchinson, KS. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his three children, Natasha Meyer and husband Taylor Cherry of Enid, OK, Nicholas Meyer and wife Hannah of South Hutchinson, KS, and Nicole Meyer of Lyons, KS; foster parents, Colin and Evy Hoyt of Lyons; three brothers, Mike J. Meyer of Canton, KS, Mark Meyer of Wichita, KS, and Marty Meyer of Pratt, KS; three sisters, Mitzie Gaede of Wisconsin, Melinda Taber of Texas, and Monica Yost of McPherson, KS; five grandchildren, Kylan Cherry, Aubriana, Emerson and Braysen Meyer, and Gabriel Watson; and numerous friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Meyer and Mary Wingrave; brother, Matt Meyer; three grandchildren, Baby Cherry, Emmett Marshall Meyer and Isabella Rose Meyer. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons. Memorials can be made to the Marshall Meyer Memorial Fund in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
