Lois Louise (Ramsey) Murphy-Wyatt

Lois Louise Murphy-Wyatt, 85, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away November 5, 2023, at her home. She was born October 19, 1938, in Hoisington, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Wendlet) Ramsey. Lois has resided in Hutchinson since 2008, formerly of Sterling, Lyons, Geneseo, and Claflin, Kansas. She graduated from Claflin High School, with the class of 1956. Lois was a housewife. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, canning, and most of all spending time with her family. Lois also enjoyed visiting the turnip patches outside of Claflin. On May 31, 1958, Lois was united in marriage with Errol L. Murphy in Claflin. He preceded her in death on January 27, 1991. On August 29, 1994, Lois was united in marriage with Lyle K. Wyatt in Lyons. He preceded her in death on August 20, 2007. She is also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and one sister. Lois is survived by her two sons, Norman Murphy and Glen Murphy and his wife Julie all of Hutchinson, KS; daughter, Louise Murphy of Jefferson City, MO; and three grandchildren. Graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 13, 2023, at the Sterling Community Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M., Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling, with family present. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
