Kim LouAnn (Baker) Silverie

Kim LouAnn Silverie, 67, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away June 22, 2026, at her home. She was born June 2, 1959, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Deane and Lila (Reed) Baker. Kim has resided in Lyons since 2022, formerly of Great Bend, Kansas. She attended Barton County Community College and graduated from Newman University with a bachelor's degree in education. Kim was a first-grade teacher in Timken, Kansas and a waitress. She loved crafting, reading, kids, and most of all spending time with her family. Kim is survived by her two children, Carisa Silverie (David Kelly) of Wichita, KS, and Cody Silverie (Leanne) of Clarksville, TN; two brothers, Greg Baker (Penny) of McPherson, KS, and Joe Baker of Hoisington, KS; half-brother, Jon Baker (Betty) of FL; and six grandchildren, Mason, Shannon, Miles, Mattea, Ransom, and Willow. Kim is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Caitlin Silverie; and significant other, Louis Degenhardt. Birzer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
