Kathy Lenora Kilbourn

Kathy Lenora Kilbourn, 75, of Rago, Kansas, passed away May 12, 2021 at her home. She was born July 28, 1945 in Dodge City, Kansas, the daughter of Benford and Jewel Cloud Diehl. Kathy has resided in Burrton for the past 10 years, formerly of Tampa, Kansas. She worked in road construction and was also a bartender and waitress. Kathy enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, cooking, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her six children, Michel Luman of Burrton, KS, Gavin Diehl and wife Rhonda of Burrton, KS, Michael Wright of Topeka, KS, Shawna Hurt and husband Jason of Rago, KS, Valetta Delancy and husband Joe of Towanda, KS, and Buck Kilbourn of Burrton, KS; brother, Donnie Diehl of Burrton; two sisters, Brenda Porter and husband Merlin of Lyons, KS, and Dixie Jones and husband Don of Arlington, KS; sister from another mother, Lynn Donley of Minneola, KS; nineteen grandchildren, Jennifer Axelrad and husband Jason, Shalon Davis and husband Dylan, Lola Diehl, Benford Diehl, Lindsey Wright, Paige Wright, Spencer Wright, Danni Durr and husband Clint Wise, Kelsey Durr and husband Devin Beasley, Eric Hurt, Kimberly Hurt, Dalton Hurt, Brendan Delancy and wife Whitney, McKinzie Harmor and husband Cody, Dylan Myers, Brooklyn Snyder and husband Christian, Cabra Myers, Miriah Delancy, and Brandan Kilbourn; and sixteen great-grandchildren, Natalie, Jaxson, Summer, Dane, Dayten, Kassidy, Westyn, Landyn, Creed, Isabella, Riley, Harrison, Madelyn, Aenya, Kalliope, and Kyran. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ralph Diehl, Robert Diehl, Richard Diehl, Kenneth Diehl, and Benford Diehl; infant brother, Douglas Michael; sister, Georgia Hatcher; grandsons, Brent Kilbourn, and Brayden Axelrad; and niece, Tasha Bates. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 17, 2021 at Alden Valley Cemetery, Alden, Kansas, with Joseph Delancy officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M., Monday, May 17, 2021 at Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling with family present. The family has requested memorials be given to Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling to help with funeral expenses.
