Judy Lee (Gates) Wilcox

Judy Lee Wilcox, 76, of Chase, Kansas, passed away July 11, 2024, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born April 8, 1948, in Chase, the daughter of Junior LeRoy and Goldie M. (Gillespie) Gates. Judy was a lifetime Chase resident. She graduated from Chase High School with the class of 1966. Judy was a homemaker and clerk at Bunting-Dunlap Drugs for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chase. Judy enjoyed cross stitching, quilting, arranging flowers, shopping, loved shoes, and most of all spending time with her family. On May 21, 1966, Judy was united in marriage Ronald Daniel Wilcox in Chase, Kansas. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2008. She is also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Heather Radcliffe; and two sisters, Janet Foulger and Marjorie Ann “Marge” Clark. Judy is survived by her two daughters, Lori Ann Wisehart and husband Jeff of Russell, KS, and Lisa Wilcox of Chase, KS; five grandchildren, Erika Hamel and husband Drew, Elizabeth Morris and husband Kale, Ryan Radcliffe, Nathan Radcliffe, and Amanda Havard; seven great-grandchildren, Grace Hamel, Gemma Hamel, Joseph Hamel, Noah Morris, Benjamin Morris, Bentlee Radcliffe, and Hazel Radcliffe. Graveside service will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 15, 2024, at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery, with Pastor Nickia Larsen officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M., Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with family present. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church, Chase in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
