Jennie Udora Kern

Jennie Udora Kern, 74, of Venice, Florida, passed away August 13, 2023, at Venice Health and Rehab in Venice, Florida. She was born June 10, 1949, in Lyons, Kansas, the daughter of Chester Harvey Sr. and Lois Johnston Kern. Jennie attended Sunny Four Grade School and graduated from Lyons High School, with the class of 1967. She was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Lyons. Jennie was an avid reader. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jennie is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Chester H. Kern Jr.; and sister, Arnetta May “Amy” Kern. A private family burial will be held at Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the American Red Cross (for Maui wildfire victims) in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons. Jennie was a free spirit and her spirit is finally free.
