Jason Andrew Richardson

Jason Andrew Richardson, 41, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away September 14, 2024, at the Mitchell County Hospital, Beloit, Kansas. He was born August 25, 1983, in Lyons, the son of David Richardson and Deborah McMillan. Jason was a lifelong Lyons resident. He attended Lyons High School. Jason worked at the Celebration Centre in Lyons. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Lyons. Jason enjoyed socializing with his friends and was always there to help a friend in need. He is survived by his father, David Richardson of Lyons, KS; mother, Deborah Scott (Gary) of Lyons, KS; sister, Jessica Richardson (Joseph Jay) of Raymond, KS and their children, Aidan Fundenberger of Hutchinson, KS, Avery Fundenberger of Raymond, KS, Macey Jay of Lyons, KS, and Evan Jay of Lyons, KS; two stepsisters, Shawna Muhly of Tucson, AZ, and Shannon Harrison (Aaron) and their children, Carley and Ava all of Topeka, KS. Jason is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Raymond W. and Virginia M. Richardson; maternal grandparents, Barbara and Alan McMillan; and uncle, Edwin McMillan. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the First Christian Church, Lyons, with Pastor Nickia Larsen officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the church with family present. Memorials may be given to the Jason Richardson Memorial Fund (to be used for a memorial at the Celebration Centre) in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
