James Patrick "Jim" Hudson

James Patrick “Jim” Hudson, 64, of Sterling, Kansas, passed away August 19, 2021, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born October 13, 1956, in El Dorado, Kansas, the son of William and Linnereau Cook Hudson. Jim graduated from Salina High School, with the class of 1974. He has resided in Sterling since July 23, 1999, formerly Salina, Kansas. Jim was truck driver for various companies for over forty years, having most recently drove for Saia LTL Freight in Wichita for twelve years and Walmart Trucking in Ottawa, for the past year. He enjoyed electronics; collecting small toy trucks; listening to music on his old stereo; and loved spending time with his family. On July 21, 1997, Jim was united in marriage with Marsha Lee Kruse in Salina, Kansas. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his daughter, Christy Jones and husband Shannon of Sterling; and three grandchildren, Trae, Trent, and Trevan Jones. Jim was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the Sterling Community Cemetery. The family ask memorials be given to Marsha Hudson (to help offset expenses) in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
