Jackie Keith "Jack" Mahoney Sr.

Jackie Keith “Jack” Mahoney Sr., 73, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away September 24, 2025, at his home. He was born April 3, 1952, in Hutchinson, Kansas, the son of Jess Lewis and Marguerite (Bort) Mahoney. Jack has resided in Lyons for the past fourteen years, formerly of Hutchinson, Kansas. He graduated from Hutchinson High School with the class of 1972. Jack owned and operated CJ’s Lawnmowner and Small Engine Repair, in Lyons. He enjoyed woodworking and repairing small engines. On August 14, 1994, Jack was united in marriage with Kris Ball in Hugo, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on July 31, 2024. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Claude, Clem, and Jim Mahoney; and sister, Jessie Mahoney. He is survived by three sons, David Akins and significate other Destani Pulscher of Branson, Missouri, Jeff Akins and wife Kim of Surprise, Arizona, Jack Mahoney Jr. and wife Donna of Prescott, Arizona; brother, Charly Mahoney and wife Linda of Mountain Home, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to donor’s choice in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
