Ismael Soto Uribe

Ismael Soto Uribe, 71, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away March 6, 2025, at his home. He was born March 11, 1953, in Durango, Mexico, the son of Florentino Soto and Zenaida Uribe. Ismael has resided in Lyons for the past two months, formerly of Mexico. He was a musician and loved to sing. Ismael enjoyed playing instruments, song writing and singing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his brother, Manuel Soto and two best friends Mono and Melquiades. On April 13, 1971, Ismael was united in marriage with Leonar Santa Cruz Gurrola, in Navolato Sin., Mexico. They shared fifty-four years together. She preceded him in death on October 29, 2024. He is also preceded in death by his parents. Ismael is survived by his six children, Lourdes Soto of Lyons, KS, Celsa Soto of Lyons, KS, Ismael Soto of Mexico, Guadalupe Soto of Oklahoma City, OK, Josue Soto of Mexico, and Zeniada Soto from LA; ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
