Herbert John "Herbie" Douglass

Herbert John “Herbie” Douglass, 44, of Great Bend, formerly of Lyons, Kansas, passed away from this life to his eternal reward on June 24, 2022, at his home. He was born February 15, 1978, in Great Bend, and became the permanent son of Richard and Treva Douglass on June 7, 1984. He is survived by his mother, Treva Douglass of Lyons; son Nicholas Hixson of Parsons, KS; and two brothers, Russel Douglass and wife Veronica and their son, Daniel of Lyons, and Bradley Douglass of Hutchinson, KS. Herbie is preceded in death by his father, Richard Douglass, and grandparents. Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with Pastor Larry Schumacher officiating. Burial will follow at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M., Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with family present. Memorials may be given to the Assembly of God Church, Lyons or Rosewood Services of Great Bend in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
