Harold David Thompson, 87, of Geneseo, Kansas, passed away January 5, 2021 at Riverview Estates, Marquette, Kansas. He was born July 3, 1933 in Ellsworth, the son of Paul and Dorothy Allen Thompson. Harold was a lifelong Geneseo resident. He attended Lyons High School and Ellsworth High School. Harold was a farmer and caring father. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Men’s Group both of Little River. On August 23, 1953, Harold was united in marriage with Nelva Gayle Trapp at the Presbyterian Church in Ellsworth. She preceded in death on December 17, 2020. Harold is also preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son, Michael Thompson and wife Theresa of Scott City, KS; two daughters, Kathy Torres and husband Christopher of McPherson, KS, and Linda Stephenson and husband Dan of Little River, KS; sister, Beth Case and husband Ed of Little River, KS; ten grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. A Private Family service will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church, Little River with Pastor Jeff Goetzinger officiating.
