Harold Eugene Samson

Harold E. Samson, 70, of Hays, Kansas, passed away July 7, 2022. at his home. He was born January 30, 1952, in Lyons, Kansas, the son of Harold C. and Irene Smith Samson. Harold has resided in Hays since 1973, formerly of Lyons. He graduated from Lyons High School with the class of 1971, and later graduated from Barton County Community Junior College with the class of 1973. Harold attended Ft. Hays State University pursuing a music major. He was a CNA at the former Hadley Regional Medical Center of Hays. Harold loved music, biking, and sail boating. He also played in a polka band. He is survived by his sister, Sherry Dobbins and husband Dan of Lyons; and several nieces and nephews. Harold is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Shirley Wille. Graveside service will be at 1:00 P.M., Monday, July 18, 2022, at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery, with Father Michael Brungardt officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
