Gerry Daniel Campbell, 73, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away October 24, 2023, at the Sterling Village, Sterling, Kansas. He was born January 16, 1950, in Waltham, Massachusetts, the son of S. J. and Mildred (Mullus) Campbell. Gerry has resided in Lyons since 1993, formerly of Daytona Beach, Florida. He worked at Westlake Chemicals in McPherson, Kansas. On April 20, 2001, Gerry was united in marriage with Marie Janda in Sterling, Kansas. He is survived by his wife, Marie Campbell of Lyons, KS; son, Brandon Campbell (Danielle) of Lyons, KS; four daughters, Brandy Campbell of Oroville, CA, Dorothy Campbell of Alden, KS, Rene Campbell of FL, and Jene Campbell of FL; three step-sons, Joseph Schultz (Kathryn) of Lyons, KS, Daniel Schultz (Brittany McLeran) of Lyons, KS, and Edward Wilder (Tiffany) of FL; two step-daughters, Ashley Whitmore (Eric) of Great Bend, KS, and Kristy Heffel (Travis) of Wilson, KS; two sisters, Charlotte Cortez of FL, and Dorothy Sullins of FL; twenty-eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Gerry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ralph Sutton; and sister, Deborah Campbell. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
