Gerald Wayne "Jerry" Stallings

Jerry (Gerald) W. Stallings, 81, of Green Valley, Illinois, currently residing in Chase Kansas, passed away December 17, 2022, peacefully at his daughters home, surrounded by loved ones. He served the United States Army in the Korean & Vietnam Wars, a retired lead custodian for Midwest Central Middle School in Green Valley IL. He is survived by three daughters, Shannon McEachern and Kerry of Chase KS, Kelly Stallings of Hutchinson, KS, and Heidi Gillespie of Chase, KS; sister, Judith Angermeier of Moline IL., eight grandkids; and nine great-grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl & Mary Stallings of Pekin IL; son-in-law, Richard McEachern of Chase, KS; brother, Joe Stallings of Wyoming; and son, Greg Stallings of Chase KS. A military honor graveside service will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin, IL in the spring of 2023, a second notice will be posted for that events date and time. A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at the Baptist Church in Chase, KS. The family suggests memorials be given to Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons to help offset funeral expenses.
