Gale Jones Obituary

Gale “Roy” Jones, 76, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away September 12, 2021, at his home. He was born September 30, 1944, in Bazine, Kansas, the son of Russell Everett “Rusty” and Doris Maxine Roberts Jones. Roy was a longtime Lyons resident. He attended a trade school in Salina, Kansas where he attained a certification as an electrician. Roy worked for many years as an electrician at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility. He is survived by his son, Kelly Jones of Lyons; daughter, Marina Fulton and husband Doug of Maize, KS; and four grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, James “Jim” Jones; and sister, Beverly (Marjean) Gilbert. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
