Dorothy Mae (Bieberle) Moeder

Dorothy Mae Moeder, 87, of Ellinwood, passed away September 24, 2018 at Hospice House, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born February 7, 1931 in rural Bushton, the daughter of Joseph and Rose Huslig Bieberle. She graduated from Bushton High School with the class of 1949. Dorothy was a longtime Ellinwood resident. She was a retired cook for St. Joseph Catholic School. Dorothy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellinwood, and member of the Altar Society. On May 2, 1950, Dorothy was united in marriage with Leonard J. Moeder in Bushton, KS. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2000. She is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clarence and Omer Bieberle; sister, Alice Jenish; and grandson, Brett Moeder. She is survived by her son, Mike Moeder and wife Kala of Ellinwood; daughter, Ellen Albert and husband Fred of Hutchinson; brother, Willis Bieberle of Great Bend, KS; sister, JoAnn McGlinn of Great Bend, KS; two grandchildren, Candice Lawellin and husband Brandon of Great Bend, KS, and Christopher Albert and wife Arabia of Hutchinson, KS; two great-grandchildren, Ella Lawellin and Ambrocious Albert. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 27, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellinwood with Father Terrance Klein officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellinwood with Altar Society Rosary at 3:00 P.M. and parish vigil at 7:00 P.M. Burial will be at Lakin Commanche Cemetery. Memorials can be made to St. Joseph Catholic School or Hospice House, Hutchinson in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
