Debra Lynn (Julian) Gliem-Birzer

Debra Lynn Gliem-Birzer, 64, of Lyons, passed away February 28, 2019 at Hospice House of Hutchinson. She was born on November 25, 1954 in Great Bend, the daughter of Manford Wayne “Sonny” and Natha Gay White Julian. Debra graduated from Garden City High School. She was a longtime Lyons resident, formerly of Ellinwood. She was a retired Lyons Foodliner manager. On July 22, 2001, Debra was united in marriage with David John Birzer in Lyons. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2015. She is also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Ayvis Julian. Debra is survived by her daughter, Brooke Stowe and husband Mica of Belmont, NC; son, Michael Gliem of Iowa; two brothers, Jeff Julian and wife Susan of Blanchard, OK, and Curtis Julian of Kansas; sister, Shelli Price and husband Terry of Great Bend; and two grandchildren, Tatelynn Stowe and Mica Stowe. Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons with Rev. Robert Friesen officiating. Burial will be at Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, KS. Memorials may be made to the Hospice House of Hutchinson, in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
