Obituary

Daniel Wayne Bell, 57, of Bushton, Kansas, passed away April 24, 2023, at his home. He was born November 8, 1965, in Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Ronald and Patricia Brott Bell. Daniel was a near lifelong Bushton resident. He graduated from Quivira Heights High School, Bushton, with the class of 1984. Daniel worked for Exline in Salina as a supervisor, building and rebuilding pipeline compressors for several years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, especially smoking meat, and loved his two black lab dogs, Bubba and Dream. Daniel was a caregiver for his parents for the past year and a half. He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Patricia Bell of Bushton, KS; daughter, Alyvia Bell of Hays, KS; two brothers, Richard Bell and wife Lori of El Dorado, KS, and Jeff Bell and wife Cathy of Bella Vista, AR; sister, Becky Behnke and husband Steve of Lyons, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews. Daniel is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Elmer and Ruby Bell; and maternal grandparents, Oscar and Waunetta Brott. There will be a private family gathering to celebrate Daniel’s life at the Chase County Lake in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Donor’s Choice in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
