Craig Evan Conner

         Craig Evan Conner, 61, of Lyons, passed away August 3, 2021, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas. He was born June 17, 1960, in Lyons, the son of Delmar L. and Noema Braman Conner. Craig was a lifelong Lyons resident. He graduated from Lyons High School with the class of 1978, and later received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University in 1990. Craig enjoyed going to air shows, was an avid piano player, and loved all things automotive and mechanical. Craig was married to Melody Hoover in 1999. They later divorced in 2016. Craig is survived by his son Lucas Conner; mother, Noema Conner of Lyons; and two sisters, Erin Conner-DeSilvey and husband William of Gypsum, KS, and Gina Rugan and husband Gene of Lyons. He is preceded in death by his father. Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery with Pastor Kim Shank officiating.  Memorials may be given to Friends of Animals Rice County in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
