Obituary

Clark Wayne Elliott, 74, of Lyons, Kansas passed away April 14 at his home while surrounded by his family. He was born in Lyons, Kansas in 1948, the son of Henry C. “Dink” Elliott and Joyce I. (Voss) Elliott. After graduating from Rancho Alamitos High School in Garden Grove, California. Clark spent 1966-68 in the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Kittyhawk. On September 28, 1967, he was united in marriage to Sue C. Swindell of Bell, California. In 1974, Clark and Sue moved back to Kansas where he served on the Lyons Police Department and the Army Reserves. Together they raised two children, Bryan Elliott and wife Misty of Ozark, Missouri, and Tamara Reeves and husband David of LaCrosse, Kansas. Clark loved his five grandchildren (Brianna, Sam, Olivia, Audrey, and Will) and two great-grandchildren (Maverick and Elliott). He was preceded in death by his parents. Clark loved to work in his shop, ride his motorcycle, and spend time with his numerous cousins and aunts and uncles. Cremation has taken place, and there will be a casual dress remembrance service on Saturday, April 29 at 11 AM at Faith Bible Church in Lyons. Memorials can be made to the Rice County Council on Aging in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
