Carol Lynn (Bilson) Lawrence

Carol Lynn Lawrence, 70, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away January 18, 2022, at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina. She was born July 19, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Bill Dean and Audrey Irene Butler Bilson. Carol was a lifetime Lyons resident. She worked as an Certified Nursing Aide at Good Samaritan Society of Lyons for 30 plus years. Carol was a member of the United Pentecostal Church, Wichita. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and listening to her Bible. Carol collected southern gospel music and snowmen. She loved to play match 3 games on her phone and talking to her friends and family on the phone. Carol loved to pray. She loved all of her family and friends very much, and always wanted to help everyone she could. On May 1, 1981, Carol was united in marriage with James Michael “Mike” Lawrence in Hutchinson, Kansas. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2021. She is also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joe Dean Bilson, and Clayton Lee Bilson; and two sisters-in-law, Pamela Kay Bilson and Rebecca Ann Bilson. Carol is survived by her brother, Jim Bilson and wife Lucy of Wichita, KS; nephews, Jeremy Lee Bilson and wife Cynthia of Lyons, Carl Bilson, Clayton J. Bilson, Gene Bilson, Bill Bilson, David Bilson, and Joe Bilson; nieces, Rebecca Rose, Carol Diane, Naomi Glenn, and Elizabeth Jo-Ann; . Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with Rev. Orva Beechy officiating. Burial will follow at Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M., Monday, January 24, 2022 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with family present from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Memorials may be given to The Pink Fund (for breast cancer patients) in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
