Beverly Root Obituary

Beverly Nadene Root, 84, of Little River, Kansas, passed away November 4, 2019 at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River. She was born October 18, 1935 in Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of Boman and Goldie Dunn Kelley. Beverly resided in Lyons for the past twenty-one years, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was a secretary for East Side Truck Service in Casper, Wyoming. Beverly was a member of First United Methodist Church, Lyons; 4-H Club of Lyons; and a member of the Eastern Star in Casper, Wyoming. She was an avid horseman. On August 15, 1952, Beverly was united in marriage with Clement W. Root in Casper, Wyoming. He survives of the home. She is also survived by her son, Clement Wayne “Butch” Root Jr. of Casper, WY; daughter, Vivian M. Mackowski and husband Robert of Clinton, TN; two grandchildren, Taylor Wayne Root and Alisa Shepherd; and one great-grandchild, Kelley Ray Shepherd. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Theron Kelley. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church, Lyons in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
