Anna Lea (Richardson) Wallace

Anna Lea Wallace, 94, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away December 17, 2022, at Hospital District #1 of Rice County, Lyons. She was born November 13, 1928, in Wister, Oklahoma, the daughter of Isaac and Georgia Richardson. Anna Lea was a longtime Lyons resident. She worked at Hospital District #1 of Rice County as a housekeeper for 23 years, Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company, Lyons, and was a homemaker. Anna Lea attended the First Baptist Church, Lyons. She enjoyed gardening, mowing the lawn, playing dominos, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. On July 14, 1946, Anna Lea was united in marriage with Lois Alvis “L.A.” Wallace in Wainwright, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1998. She is also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lewis Richardson and Asail Richardson; and three sisters, Veran Lois Weaver, Lillie Grace Meabon, and Sylvia Robins. Anna Lea is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Wallace and wife Althea of Inman, KS, and Dennis Wallace and wife Mary of San Angelo, TX; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with Pastor Joel Grizzle officiating. Burial will follow at Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons. Visitation will be 2:00 until 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with family present from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, Lyons, and Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River, in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
