Anna Maria Risola-Roberts

Anna Maria Risola-Roberts, 52, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away January 29, 2023 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, Wichita. She was born August 6, 1970, in Norwalk, California, the daughter of Joseph and Judy Lynn (Cliffton) Risola. Anna has resided in Lyons since April of 2022, formerly of Jefferson, Texas. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Anna continued her education at Vaterotte Business School in St. Joseph, Missouri, where she received her associates degree in Accounting/Data processing. She had many occupations throughout her life including being an extremely successful insurance agent. Anna was a people person and would reach out to anyone in need. She spoke sign language and loved to find others that could sign. Anna was a unique loving soul, unless someone got on the wrong side then her feistiness would come out. Through all her struggles in life she loved her husband, her dog, her family, and her friends. On December 22, 1999, Anna was united in marriage with Robert Bradley Roberts in St. Joseph, Missouri. Anna is survived by her husband, Robert of Lyons, KS; two brothers, James Risola of Portland, OR, and Tony Risola (Tammy) of Cabot, AR; and several nieces and nephews. Anna is preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 P.M., Friday, February 3, 2023, at the First Presbyterian Church, Lyons, with Pastor Lara MacGregor officiating. Memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
